Sherri and Jim Bible Study on iOVERCOME RADIO

No one asks for the wilderness. We pray for the mountaintops, the victories, and the easy seasons. But throughout the Bible, God often does His greatest work in the wilderness. It is there that He shapes character, deepens faith, exposes what needs to change, and prepares His people for the calling ahead.

In this episode of iOVERCOME with Jim and Sherri, we explore why God doesn't waste our pain. The wilderness may feel lonely, confusing, or even unfair, but it is often God's classroom—a place where He strips away self-reliance, teaches us to trust Him completely, and forms us into the people He created us to be.

From Moses in the desert, to David fleeing for his life, to Elijah under the broom tree, to Jesus being led into the wilderness before beginning His ministry, Scripture reveals a consistent pattern: preparation often comes before promotion. God uses difficult seasons to produce perseverance, maturity, humility, and a faith that can withstand life's storms.

If you're walking through a wilderness today, don't lose heart. Your struggle may not be a sign that God has abandoned you—it may be evidence that He is preparing you for something greater.

Join Jim and Sherri as they discuss how to recognize God's purpose in life's hardest seasons and why the wilderness isn't where your story ends—it's often where your strongest faith begins.
