In Philippians 3:8–9, Paul explains that nothing in his past accomplishments, religious achievements, or personal efforts compares to the value of knowing Jesus Christ. He willingly leaves behind everything he once trusted in so that he can fully embrace the righteousness that comes through faith in Christ. This passage reminds believers that salvation is not earned through good works or personal performance but is received by God's grace. Through Jesus, we are freed from the burden of guilt, shame, and self-righteousness, allowing us to walk in the confidence and freedom that come from a restored relationship with God.
